Your content (the things you create, paste, or process with this extension) stays on your device. We do collect limited product analytics so we can count how many people use which features.
All of your actual usage data: settings, preferences, history, lists, generated output, and any image you convert. Conversions run in your browser; the images themselves are never uploaded to our servers.
When the extension is installed, used, or uninstalled, it sends a small product-analytics event to our server. Each event includes:
The events do not include the URL of the page you are on, the content you process, your name, or your email.
If you upgrade to a paid plan, your device identifier is also used to verify your license. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. License records may include a purchase email, plan, installation identifier, license status, and Stripe customer or subscription reference. Existing Peak bundle activation may save its license state in Chrome sync storage; the new Apps66 membership cache uses local storage only.
When you choose to connect an Apps66 membership in a supported version, the extension sends a one-use activation code and its installation identifier to the licensing service at ext66.com. Apps66 checks your subscription with Stripe and sends that service an opaque account reference, the supported extension, membership status and access expiry. The service stores a hashed installation identifier linked to that membership. This makes the identifier pseudonymous, not anonymous.
The raw Apps66 activation code is not saved in extension storage. The service keeps its hash for activation and short retry handling. A separate local membership cache lasts no longer than 24 hours without successful verification. This connection does not send your images, file contents or browsing URLs. Existing standalone licenses remain separate. Manage the linked subscription at Apps66 subscription settings.
You can request removal of a device link or associated license records through support. Uninstalling removes local extension storage but does not cancel a subscription or automatically erase server-side billing records.
This extension declares only the permissions it actually uses. Each is listed in the Chrome Web Store entry, and the reason is documented there.
To request deletion of your device identifier and any associated analytics or license records, email support@ext66.com. We will delete on request.
If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date above will change and significant changes will be communicated through the extension's release notes.
